With many schools and workplaces closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of us have found ourselves dealing with a new, and often very stressful, family situation. It is important to remember that distress is an understandable reaction in such circumstances. As a family, joining hands on finding ways to be resilient, manage conflicts, and engage in healthy behaviors that promote wellness are ways for us to get through this pandemic together.

Financial literacy is the confident understanding of concepts including saving, investing and debt that leads to an overall sense of financial well-being and self-trust. Financially literate consumers not only manage money with more confidence, but also have a better chance of handling the inevitable ups and downs of their financial lives by understanding how to prevent and manage issues as they arise. With the growing importance of financial literacy, however, most Asian countries have surprisingly recorded a low level of financial literacy and understanding. Particularly, in Southeast Asia, the financial literacy is considerably far below the global average. Except for Singapore and Myanmar, all Southeast Asian countries indicated an average of 30% of their adult population who is financially literate. The roots of the issue are mainly the unpleasing result of the education system which fails to equip people with an adequate amount of financial understanding. Therefore, awareness of financial literacy must be spread and there's a need to focus on the education of financial literacy that can best help regional groups to make good financial decisions.

101 million children worldwide don’t regularly attend school. High costs, lack of local availability, lack of uniforms and school supplies, disability and competing family priorities are among the many reasons for this devastating statistic. Each of those children may grow up without the basic communication, math and reasoning skills that can help them earn a living wage to support their family and build their communities. And so the cycle of poverty continues. Building global accessibility to education also means exploring new tools, and new advancements in educational technology are making it possible for people with disabilities to attain the skills they need to go on to higher education.

Structured and systematic form of learning is a kind of formal education which has a certain standard delivered to students by trained teachers. Formal learning is standardized and all learning institutions (e.g. schools, colleges, universities, etc.). Formal education in a country is governed by organizations. As we seen from the current system, some of the systems are not too effective for students who have a formal education. It can be seen from one example, which is learning hours at school. Therefore, to prepare a world-ready human being, it can be started by fixing up the formal education evaluation system of the effectiveness of school hours or others.

Economic globalization, the shift from an industrial society to a knowledge-based society, and the internationalization of education are among the major forces in making cross-border education significant and in some cases a necessity. Cross-border education is not a new phenomenon because there is a history of exchange of students, professors, and knowledge dating back centuries. However, in the last two decades, the world witnessed significant growth in cross-border education largely due to changes in physical and virtual modes of delivery. This has broadened our thinking where cross-border education is now conceptualized as more than just student and faculty exchange. Technological advances enable new delivery modes. Thus, government plays a significant role as guidance in the new educational era.

School closures due to COVID-19 have brought significant disruptions to education across the world. One of the limitations of emergency remote learning is the lack of personal interaction between teacher and students. However, several countries showed initiatives by using other methods to improve the remote educational experience, including social media, email, telephone, and even the post office. All stakeholders are working to adapt to a new dynamics in the education.

Since the pandemic, there have been major changes in various sectors, one of which is the education sector. According to Eric Ashby (1972), the education sector has undergone five processes of change to date and in this pandemic period, the education process uses a lot of information and communication technology. With major advances in technology, Asia must leverage collaboration to further develop in order to close the technology gap.
